We Treat You
Even today, metal braces are still your best bet for correcting the most severe cases of overbite, crooked teeth, and other dental alignment issues. The arch wire that connects the various metal brackets together will gradually push the teeth towards their ideal position. You’ll return to our dental office every few weeks so that we can tighten the wire as needed. Since braces cannot be removed by the patient, they’re usually the better option for younger children who wouldn’t leave a see-through aligner alone.
Invisalign® Clear Braces
When you’re an adult or a teenager that has an image to worry about, the idea of getting braces for any reason is likely not an appealing one. Invisalign provides an alternative to metal wires and brackets. Instead, you’ll wear a series of plastic aligners that are practically invisible on your teeth. Most people won’t even realize you’re wearing them, and yet they can still very effectively correct all kinds of mild to moderate orthodontic problems. Also, Invisalign doesn’t come with any diet restrictions; you just take the aligners out whenever you eat or drink something besides water.
Another popular option for straightening mild to moderately crooked teeth without using metal brackets and wires is ClearCorrect. This treatment is quite similar to Invisalign; however it’s provided by a newer company and in some cases can actually be more affordable depending on your unique case. When you arrive for your in-person consultation, we’ll go over their differences in greater detail, confirm your personal preferences for care, and determine the best treatment option that satisfies your needs.
