The Popularity of Clear Aligners

Decades prior, patients looking to straighten their teeth were limited to using metal brackets and bulky wires. That all changed when Invisalign’s clear, virtually undetectable aligners hit the market. Now, people of all ages could shift their teeth into a more aesthetically pleasing position without calling attention to their treatment. Two decades later, discreet solutions like ClearCorrect continue to be the leading option for teens and adults alike, helping over 8 million patients so far.

The Process of Getting ClearCorrect

The process of getting ClearCorrect will start with an initial consultation with our orthodontist in Keller, Dr. Walia. At your appointment, she will discuss your smile goals and conduct a dental exam. If she determines that you are a good candidate, then impressions and photographs will be taken of your teeth. The ClearCorrect laboratory will use these to create custom, effective trays for each phase of your treatment. Once they are ready, they will be sent to our office and we will provide you with your first set. Every couple of weeks, we will check your teeth compared to your treatment plan and make adjustments as needed until you’ve completed the entire series!

Candidates for ClearCorrect

If you are struggling with crowded, crooked, or gapped teeth, then you may be a candidate for ClearCorrect in Keller! The only way to find out for certain is by scheduling an initial consultation. If Dr. Walia finds any untreated dental concerns, like severe decay or gum disease, then she will need to administer the appropriate treatment beforehand. On the other hand, if your oral health is in good condition and she determines that ClearCorrect is the best option for your unique dental needs, then you’ll move on to the next step.

The Advantages of ClearCorrect Over Traditional Braces

  • Practically invisible trays
  • No dietary restrictions
  • Completely removable
  • Hassle-free oral care
  • Comfortable
  • Delivers results in a fraction of the time (on average)

The Difference Between ClearCorrect and Invisalign

Although ClearCorrect and Invisalign are both teeth-straightening tools that are clear and effective, they aren’t the same. First, ClearCorrect doesn’t use Align Technology. Instead, their trays are slightly thinner and comprised of plastic. The second difference is years on the market, with Invisalign debuting in 1999 and ClearCorrect receiving approval from the FDA in 2009. There also are some cost differences, with ClearCorrect typically being more affordable (depending on your unique case, of course).
